This research work is an investigation into the motivational effects of human resource accounting in Nigerian business. Considering the Nigerian peculiar situation, how best can we motivate human resources to attain maximum or improved productivity In solving this problem research was made into past work in this area, questionnaires were administered and chisquare test was used to analyse the data collected. From the analysis it was observed that human resource accounting does not have any motivational effect in Nigerian businesses. However, from the analysed data, I recommend that Nigerian businesses should look into human resource development and training to increase staff motivation and overall business productivity.
According to Drucker 1995 we are in the era of the 3cs. An age of accelerated change, overwhelming complexity and tremendous competition in this age, organisations that wish to survive must seek information and apply the same to their business enterprise.
